Oh my goodness, off of choco for Lent! A few girls in my class are off cookies.

If I had to give up anythint for Lent I'd go with choco too. It's something I could survive w/out for 40 days but I still like enough to be a sacrifice.

Maybe I should just start taking part in Lent to help me lose weight. :P

See that's the idea; I'm currently going to the gym 3 times a week to get fit and lose weight but it's so hard not to be thinking about chocolate especially when you're forcing yourself not to eat it! We'll see if this has made a difference yet; I'm getting weighed and measured tomorrow after a month of going! O_O

*coughs* Stupid question, probably, but what exactly is this Lent thing? I hadn't heard of it before, except in a Janto fic a while back. Is it a typical UK thing? And do people actually follow it through(?), or is it more of a New Year's resolutions type of thing? *randomly curious*

Yeah it's done usually just before Easter and is like a resolution thing that lasts about 6 weeks. I think the main thing that people give up is chocolate and also cigarettes (for me though it's the former as I don't smoke).

Oooh, interesting. *reads* Ah, I think I figured out why it didn't sound familiar. Apparently (at least in Holland) it's more a Catholic than a Protestant thing, and it has a completely different name. ^^;
