Jul. 23rd, 2011 05:57 pmAmy Winehouse dies at 27.
It's such a shame she never really got off the drink and drugs as she had such a unique voice and unfortunately this isn't really surprising, but not any less tragic. :(

Boyzone's Stephen Gately dies, aged 33.
I was gutted when a cousin told me earlier this morning (still am). I loved Boyzone in their heyday; they were part of the music that was around during my early teens in the late 90s and for Stephen to die that suddenly and at such a young age... :'( I sincerely hope there was no foul play.
RIP Stephen. ♥
For those who don't know, Boyzone were a popular Irish boyband in the 1990s and had recently reformed.

- Alice Cooper's Poison: "Your skin, so wet, black lace on sweat."
I thought: "Your skin, so wet, black lace on suede."
- Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Compares 2 U: "all the flowers that you planted Mama in the back yard, all died when you went away."
I thought: "all the flowers that you planted Mama in the back yard, all died in the wind and rain."
- Toto's Africa: "I bless the rains down in Africa."
I thought: "I guess it rains down in Africa."
- Christmas carol Away In A Manger: "The cattle are lowing."
I thought: "The camels are lonely." (I sang it like that when I was young & my parents haven't let me live it down. XD)

![]() If you were transported back to the 80s, you would enjoy anything and everything underground. You love the alternative aspects of 80s culture, and you're a bit disappointed that they've been forgotten over time. You'd be goth, punk, new wave, or a rapper. Just not a yuppie, a preppy, or a jock! You would relish living in a time where identifying with a subculture actually meant something. |

Dec. 6th, 2008 09:48 pmYESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! It's about friggin' time that wee girl Diana was booted off. She should have gone weeks ago and Ruth should never have gone last week. Diana just doesn't compare, for one thing she completely murdered every song she 'sang' and her 'cuteness' wore thin very quickly.
Well done British public. Alexandra or JLS to win next week.

The first lines of the first twenty songs that come up are your "poem/song"
The 21st line is the title.
Another turning point
Winter's cityside crystal bits of snowflakes all around my head and in the wind,
We're walking in the air,
I can feel it coming in the air tonight,
You'll remember me when the west wind moves,
Who's going to tell you when it's too late?
I've gotta take a little time,
Everyone's changing I stay the same,
An angel's smile is what you sell,
She's taking her time making up the reasons,
People — they don't mean a thing to you.
I'm moving - I'm not going to rest 'til I find you,
I'm so addicted to the loving that you're feeding to me,
I feel a shadow passing over me,
I've called you so many times today,
I don't know if you can hear me.
Get in, get out of the rain,
For the delux life and the trump card dream,
When you try your best, but you don't succeed,
Oh I saw you standing on your street,
Revvin' up your engine - listen to her howl and roar.
XD

And how gorgeous did Britney look at this year's VMAs?! So much better than last year and she's looking much healthier too.

Heading out to see The Police soon about 10 minutes drive from me. Therefore, a random picspam of them ahead just because I feel like it and because they are awesome. :P

Jun. 14th, 2008 11:48 pmStep 1: put your MP3 player or iPod on random.
Step 2: Post the first lines or your favorite lines from the first 30 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is cheating!
( *´¨ ¸.•´¸.•*´¨ ¸.•*¨ (¸.•´ (¸.• teh lyrics *´¨ ¸.•´¸.•*´¨ ¸.•*¨ (¸.•´ (¸.• )
C'est tout! Go! I'll give you the answers to those you don't get in a few days. :)
* Gimme the soundtrack/film it comes from.
**If anyone gets these I'll be very impressed.
*** This isn't by the original singer but you can still gimme the name of the song anyway.
**** Doesn't matter which artist since it's also been covered. ;)
