The Comedian: "Just a matter of time I suppose..."
Opening scene with Blake/the Comedian getting thrown out the window of his apartment was well done, and he put up a hell of a fight. Makeup on JDM making him look to be in his late 60s = fab. I'm glad they didn't actually show him smashing into the pavement though.
- The framed photo of Sally/Silk Spectre on Blake's wall. ♥
- I loved Rorschach's 'moving' face - didn't expect it to do that! XD
-

Laurie's photo in Blake bedroom. ♥
- Loved the opening credits with all the flashbacks of the original Watchmen, the hippies putting the flowers in the guns (and the guns opening fire shortly after D:), the Comedian being shown to be the one hiding on the grassy knoll at JFK's assassination, Dr Manhattan meeting JFK, some of the previous vigilantes being murdered etc all shown with Bob Dylan's The Times They Are A Changin' playing over them:

-

Seeing the Comedian as a young man and LMAO at his old costume. XD
-

Adrian posing infront of the Village People. XD ♥
-

Nite Owl & Nite Owl II. :D
- Rorschach breaking in to Dan's apartment for beans. XD
- Rorschach: (to Dan) "An attack on one is an attack on all of us, right?"
- Nena's 99 Red Balloons (or 99 Luftballons in this case :P) = ♥
-

Blake's funeral - The Sound Of Silence was a perfect choice to play during this, very fitting with the sombre tone of that scene.
-

Dan throwing the Comedian's yellow smiley badge into his open grave.
- The Comedian's middle name = Morgan. Did they deliberately cast Jeffrey Dean Morgan to play him because of that? XD
-

Dan Dreiberg: "What happened to the American Dream?"
Edward Blake: "It came true! You're lookin' at it..."
-

Laurie & Dan beating up the gang of thugs who followed them into the alley was amazing although you could hear the audience wincing when one had his arm snapped and the bones broke out through the skin. D:
-

I had read about the attempted rape scene but wasn't expecting how it turned out on the big screen. D: However I won't deny that him coming up beind her and planting a kiss on her bare shoulder was hot. After reading the screenplay here, I would have liked to have seen Edward coming back to Sally a few years later to apologise for what he tried to do and her forgiving him, and have that turn into what would be Laurie's conceivement.
-

Sally's retirement party. ♥
-

Laurie meeting Blake 15 years before and not yet knowing he is her dad before Sally drags her away. ♥
-

Blake watching Laurie go. <3
-

I love this picture. :D
- I really liked Jon/Manhattan's backstory, of how he used to be a normal human being with feelings before the accident. Is he meant to be devoid of emotion though because that's how he comes across, but what made him 'leave' Janey for Laurie? Was it really because she was getting older??
-

Manhattan vapourising the thugs with guns in the bar and their bloody remains splattering over their lady friends and the arm dangling from the ceiling. O__O
- Adrian taking out the assistant in the lobby. :D
- I kind of guessed Moloch was dead before Rorschach pulled his head back to check. I guess I watch too many tv/film murder mysteries. :P
- Rorschach using the aerosol as a flamethrower = WIN. :D
- Rorschach: "I don't like you."
Psychologist: "Well, why is that?"
Rorschach: "Because you're fat."
XD XD XD
- Rorschach as a boy being slapped by his prositute of a mother and being told she wished she'd had him aborted. D: I felt so bad for him, and seeing him tear the flesh off the cheek one of the boys who were bullying him made everyone go D:.
- I thought I was going to throw up when you saw the 2 german sheperds fighting over the bone which turned out to be the leg of the little girl Rorschach was looking for, still with her shoe on it... D: D: D:
- Same goes for when the man who killed her had the meat cleaver slamming into his head over and over again.
- Rorschach: (just before putting the meat cleaver in the child molester's skull) "Men go to jail. Dogs get put down."
-

Rorschach emptying the chip oil over the inmate who was about to kill him. OUCH.
- Rorschach: "None of you understand! I'm not locked up in here with you! You're locked up in here with me!"
♥
- LMFAO at Laurie nearly setting the Owl-ship alight. XD Archemides = Merlin's owl from The Sword In The Stone??
-

Random Patrick Wilson pretty. :D *shallow*
- I think quite a few people complained about the Laurie/Dan Owl-ship sex scene (mainly complaining about the use if the Hallelujah song) but I personally thought it was fine. :) Same goes for those whinging about Dr Manhattan's peen being too obvious, I hardly noticed. *rolls eyes*
- More stomach churning when the thug who tried to grab Rorschach in his cell got his hands trapped by Rorschach and then got his arms sawn off. D: D: D:
- Rorschach: (after the second of Big Figure's thugs is electrocuted in the cell's toilet) "Hmm. Never disposed of sewage with a toilet before."
- Rorschach: (following Big Figure, to Dan and Laurie) "I have to visit the men's room."
(moments later bloody water flows under the door)
- (After Laurie discovers the Comedian/Edward Blake was her father)
Dr Manhattan: "But I've changed my mind. There are miracles in your world that are worth preserving."
Laurie: "What? But you were saying -"
Dr Manhattan: "I tried to explain. Thermodynamic miracles - events with odds against so astronomical, like oxygen turning into gold. I have longed to witness such a thing and yet I neglect that in human coupling, millions upon millions of cells compete to create life over generation after generation. Until finally, your mother loves a man - Edward Blake, the Comedian - a man she has every reason to hate. And out of that contradiction, against unfathomable odds, it was you, only you, that emerged. To distill so specific a form from all of that chaos. Your creation is like, turning air into gold. A miracle.
Laurie: "But if my birth is a miracle you, you could say that about anyone."
Dr Manhattan: "Yes, anyone in the world. But the world is so crowded with miracles that they become commonplace and we forget. I forget. Now, dry your eyes."
- The smiley face on Mars, resembling the Comedian's badge. :D
- Jimi Hendrix's All Along The Watchtower playing as Dan & Rorschach go to look for Adrian in Anarctica. <333
- Manhattan: (to Adrian) "The worlds smartest man poses no more threat to me than the worlds smartest cockroach."
- Poor Rorschach! Although his bloody remains in the snow in the form of one of his mask's shapes was cool.
-

Random Matthew Goode pretty (though he looks better with his natural dark hair). ;)
-

Jackie Earle Healy was brilliant as Rorschach, although he sounded sooo like Batman a la The Dark Knight LMAO. ;) :P
- Liked Patrick Wilson very much too (I think this would be the first I've seen of him in anything). It was like seeing a young Paul Newman on the big screen when he was on! :D ♥
Overall, I enjoyed the film very much, another one to add to the DVD collection. Does anyone know where you can buy one of the Comedian's wee yellow smiley badges? I would love to get one! XD
