NOW JOCKEY IS FACING BAN AFTER DOING 'A ZIDANE'
Jockey Paul O'Neill has emulated Zinedine Zidane in bizarre fashion, butting his horse after it threw him before the start at Stratford.
His shocking attack was caught on camera and, having received a video of the incident involving the John O'Shea-trained City Affair, the disciplinary panel of the Horseracing Regulatory Authority will hold an inquiry.
The conditional rider had been dumped by the gelding after arriving at the start on Sunday, but went on to finish fourth in the Claydon Horse Exercises Novices' Selling Hurdle. "We haven't got a date set but we are going to go for some time next week," said an HRA spokesman. "It's a 153 charge carrying a ban of between one and 21 days."
The RSPCA are also looking at tapes of the incident, and could take out a private prosecution.
A spokesman said "It was stupid and juvenile. We are satisfied the animal was not injured, but it was an unacceptable way for the jockey to behave."

Bottom line is YOU DO NOT HIT A DEFENSELESS ANIMAL, ASSHOLE!! I hope that horse can trust the guy again & that karma comes back to bite that idiot in the ass!!

Date: 2006-07-26 12:29 am (UTC)never forgot a couple of years ago, there
was a news story on telly about a rodeo rider
who did something cruel to the horse(I forget
what) and, right on camera, the animal threw the
creep off. The guy landed face down in the dirt,
the horse immediately reached down, took the guy's
entire backside in his mouth and bit hard! Anyone
who was watching saw the whole incident! I'll bet
that, not only will that guy probably never ride again,
he'll also never mistreat another animal! I say, "Good for
the horse!"
