It's something you always think "Man, he is going to be killed doing this kinda work..." but you NEVER believe it. And the fact that it's a stingray and not a crocodile or even poison snake... just crazy. :(
Yeah that's the irony; he could have been killed so easily by something like a croc and it was a small stingray instead....I would watch repeats of his programme The Crocodile Hunter Diaries and marvel at how he was able to get so close to those things & always walk away unharmed, but I think that was what made him different to others in his profession.
