Doctor Who Season 4 companion speculation

wee_mangoCatherine Tate as the new companion. What. The HELL?!?!? You cannot be serious; that recent Christmas special was bad enough (nothing to the fabulousness that was The Christmas Invasion) and I really don't think I'll be able to cope with 13 episodes of this overrated woman.
According to RTD: "We are delighted that one of Britain's greatest talents has agreed to join us for the fourth series". Oh please. I can see this season failing miserably if this goes ahead. I wasn't best pleased with the Kylie Minogue on Titanic thing but compared to this, I think that might work.
