- What the hell??? O_O LOL!! I thought I had the wrong station on for a minute there...

- Ray: (on seeing the actor playing him in the tv reconstruction) "I don't even wear any jewellery!"

- Alex's face as she watches the hilarious reconstruction:

- Matthew MacFadyen with a mullet hahah! XD He was fab though, and really cool seeing him alongside real-life wife Keeley. ♥

- OMG who is it on the slab in the morgue?!?!? O_O

- OMG 3 days before the carbomb...

- Shaz ringing the bell - bell tolling for her own death??

- (Alex talking about how she's not staying at the MET)
Gene: (folding his arms & looking down at his feet) "Had enough of us?"
Aaaaw, do I detect some hidden sadness there, and isn't folding your arms a sign of hiding something? ;) Hmmm.

- Gene (not directly) asking Alex out for dinner and looking at the floor thinking she's gonna say no. :D ♥ Then of course he ruins it by saying "wear something slutty". LMFAO. *loves*

- Flashback/forward to where she was shot in the abandoned boat/barge - is Alex perhaps still alive (or conscious, even with a bullet hole in her head)?? O.O

- LOL at the bunch of guys scarpering when Gene starts striding towards them. XD

- Pink wafer on toy car for reconstruction in the office = bath. LMFAO.

- Gene: "This is where the trail goes cold as a polar bear's knackers."

- 90s boyband references FTW!

- Gene getting out of the makeup chair very quickly when the male hairdresser touches his hair. XD

- Gene: (getting up and leaving during a live tv performance) "Sorry about saying 'bastards'."

- Aaaaw Gene did the tv appearance/appeal for Alex and ended up looking like a complete prat. <3333

- Is the old Gene (the one we saw in Life On Mars) starting to pop up again? Same goes for Ray & Chris who looked like they were back in 1973 mode, beating the crap out of suspects. No wonder Alex was shocked.

- Is that Shaz under the hoodie/balaclava?? It is!

- Since when was there a picture of Gene's face on his office door? o__O

- Ooooooh they're all in the shit now...mainly Alex though 'cause she went and told the Super, Evan & Caroline about the beatings. Liked how that echoed Sam doing something similar when Frank Morgan told him to keep records of how Gene was doing things. Also liked how Ray called her a bitch and Gene told him she was still his superior officer.

- Gene: (to Alex) "How do you know I don't have children?!"
Hmmmmmmmmm...still so much we don't know about this guy, other than the fact that he had a younger brother who was on drugs and Gene was too late to save him.

- Holy crap you could cut the tension with a knife...they really hate her right now don't they? O_O

- So Evan did take Alex away from the burning car...

- And plenty of Gene/Alex fangirls (myself included) breathe a sigh of relief... ;) Loved how Alex actually thought of Gene (and LOVE the roar when it showed Gene!!) when it was Evan who was in her flat. XD The Gene Genie FTW. <3333

- Sticky!Garfield - I got a friend one of those for her birthday (exact same one)!! [/random]

- Alex: "What's that smell?"
(Everyone sniffs and turns round)
Chris: (standing behind everyone else) "Don't look at me..."

- Gene: (sitting at his pizza & chips dinner, with Chris, Shaz, Ray & Alex telling him how they've concluded Gil Hollis is guilty) "What is this, Scooby Doo?"

- Is Gil the shooter?

- Hahahah at Gene diving on Alex - funny how he didn't move until she said "get off!" XD

- Alex gripping Gene's hand to try and prevent him from going out to face Gil. ♥

- Gene, shut uuuuuuuuuuuuuup or you're going to get it!

- Oh Shaz!! Don't do anything without backup! Oh shit, nooooooooooooooooooo!!

- Shaz: (seeing the Pierrot clown, in her death throes) "I don't like clowns!!"
Interesting that only she and Alex can see him but everyone else is like "there's no one there" O_O.

- Chris kissing Shaz's bloodied hand. :(

- NO SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZ!! *sobs*

- Aaaaaaw at Gene comforting Chris and having to pull him away from Shaz when she dies. <3333 *hugs poor wee Chris*

- Shaz lives!! YAY go Alex - well done for keeping up the CPR on Shaz. :D :D :D

- I'm torn on what to think about the lads kicking the crap out of Gil (when everyone thought Shaz had died); I probably would have too if it had been a family member or a close friend but on the other hand I was with Viv about him being handcuffed = he was in police custody = he should not be touched. :/ I watched that entire scene with my hands clapped to my face in shock and my eyes welled up with relief when Shaz gasped for air after Alex did CPR on her. ^__^

- No, no, no, no, no...phew. The Gene/Alex shippers can once more breathe a sigh of relief. Hang on, we didn't see Evan leave...OMG...

- Gene why didn't you go to see Alex?! And what happened to that date you two were meant to have? :P

- What was going on there with Viv and Gene??

I really don't know what to make of the clown now; is he warning Alex about bad things that may happen rather than symbolizing death? I'm beginning to think Tim Price knows/knew about the affair between Caroline/Evan...it's something about that wink he does to young Alex in the rearview mirror. Still think Evan is 'innocent' though.

I also really like all the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe references too and theories over at The Railway Arms site, particularly the ones about Gene being like Aslan; the cutting of the hair/mane and possible future sacrifice etc. :)
