ROTK - OH MY GOSH...
Dec. 18th, 2003 04:04 pmOH MY GOSH...peter jackson has done it...the perfect final film installment to a perfect trilogy...and boy i cried sooo much - especially the closing scenes when frodo wkes up and 'all' (minus boromir *sob*) the fellowship come in to see him and when merry/pippin/sam say byebye to frodo...WAHH!!!!!!!!!!
Just seeing the film now has made me want the soundtrack even more although i wanted it bad before the movie came out in the 1st place...:) and HOW billy and viggo can sing...WOW! the music people seem to have done a cool wee 'echo' thing with their voices. don't get me wrong i loved what viggo done but i like billy's singing voice (and normal too!) better...think it has something to do with him being from Scotland *grins* when he started to sing to denethor/john noble (who by the way was excellent) i thought "oooh he's singing!" but when he was 1/2 way through the song my jaw had hit the floor and my eyes were as big as plates - woooo....
- Oh my there were so many moments with the characters that made me cry/laugh/go "AAWW!!" hee hee. The moment with the palantir/pippin was absolute class especially when aragorn and legolas came running in and try to prise it away from him...and ian mckellen was as fab as ever :)
- The scene with arwen being escorted with the other elves to the grey havens made me go "ooooh" and then cry as they are going along a path (lovely scenery here by the way) and a little boy runs across them - only then arwen realises that she is having a vision into the future and the boy who runs to an older aragorn is her son :) but my mouth was hanging open as i realised this was gonna be the future she would be choosing. and seeing liv cry made me do it too...
- The 3rd or 4th last scene with frodo waking up after his ordeal in mount doom was just - mmmm?!! - just seeing the fellowship coming into his room made me go weak at the knees...and when orlando/legolas came in after gimli...GA-AH! Sooo beautiful....and the expression on THAT face.....*thud* and what he was wearing made me go weak @ the knees as well.....just that pale blue/'high-collared' shirt (the one he wears when he's carrying the water jug in lothlorien waaaay back in film 1) and trousers and they've done something different with his hair :) He's wearing the same outfit @ aragorn's coronation with a silver band across his forehead and it was then i remembered that he is a (pointy-eared lol!) elven prince...gah and the smile he gives to aragorn....*dies*
Well, that's all my gushing for the moment but i will be back...and my pain-in-the-ass bro is thratening to chuck me off this so i gotta go...ciao.
