Have decided to call it quits at work, didn't bother going in today and contract runs out on Friday 10th June anyways, but that's not really the point.

The point is that it seems that I haven't been getting all the money I'm working/was working for...earned £5 an hour and for the past 2 months-ish had been doing approx 30-ish hours a week, so roughly, that's about £150 each week right? However, since there have been a lot of times when I've worked entire weeks, why in hell are NONE of my payslips the same?!?!?! :confused:E.g. get around £150 for one full week, then next full week I get say about £130 - so where'd the other £20 go? And it's been like that, every flipping week!!!

And that's not all.....according to the management, you're only allowed a day off for each month that you work, so say you worked a year, you'd be entitled to 12 days off. In my case I'm only getting 5 since I was working there 5 months, however according to the Working Time Regulations 1998 you're allowed 20 days holiday a year! So, my mum came up with this to give into the manager yesterday afternoon as I left for the day:

Dear (insert name here)

Holiday Entitlement

As you are aware, I enquired about the amount of holiday leave which was due to me before my contract expired next week and was advised that I had only 3 days left because I was only being given 5 days altogether.

I wish to lodge a formal complaint under the terms of the Working Time Regulations 1998 which states that there is an entitlement to 20 days over a 12 month period. This works out at 1.67 days per month. Given that I worked for approximately 2 months in November and December 2004 and 5 months this year, i understand that I am entitled to 11.69 days leave (1.67 x 7) less time already taken. Can you confirm that this is correct as I have exams to study for and intend to take this leave now which should take me up to the end of my contract on 10/06/05.

Yours sincerely,

(Me)

Thing is, work rang several times this morning probably wondering why I wasn't there or hadn't bothered ringing in - HAHAH - though they rang once (we purposely didn't answer it), got no answer, then about 30 seconds later rang again, probably checking to see if we had done a 1471 - sneaky! We didn't; Mum did the 1471 after the second call and said 'It was them!'. 0_0

And then teh boss rang at 5.30pm, to get my dad on the other end and now he wants me to ring him tomorrow - OH. SHIT. :omg:
