4) what is your favorite band?
5) who is your hero?
:D
Date: 2005-12-05 10:04 pm (UTC)A nickname that has stuck since school :) I was going to have 'Mango' as a user name but it must have already been taken. The 'wee' part came from the original nickname that a pal added on because I'm so small - about 5'1 or so. ;)
2) what is your favorite Paul McGann movie?
Oooh, argh...*thinks* I had a feeling a fellow McGann fanatic would've asked that! :p Mmmmm... I actually enjoyed Downtime. I know it's been slated by critics etc, but I generally enjoyed it. I was terrified something bad was gonna happen to his character & the part where he almost gets severed in half by the lift had me wincing and peeking through my fingers. If a movie can make me react in that way, it means I enjoy it :D
3) what did you think of meeting him?
Aaah... I would so do it all over again - he's the loveliest man I've met. He's so down-to-earth it's unbelievable. I'd read other people's opinions of him after they'd met him too so I had a little hint that he was nice. :)
My mum & I were teasing him about his fave football team and that we both support his team's rivals, to which he replied (after we'd taken loads of photos of him) "Give us those photos! Give us that (the digital camera) back!!" He pretended to try & grab the camera and delete the pics off it! LMAO it was hilarious; afterwards he declared his team had won to which my mum said that we just hoped our team would top his in the big football league. Paul then said "Right..." and went to go and chase us out but again he was messing about lol :D :D :D
I'm gonna do a full report of meeting him as soon as I can so stay tuned! ;)
4) what is your favorite band?
Queen - love 'em & have done for about 3 years when I accidently left all my other music at home when going on holiday and had only 3 of their albums to listen to for 3 weeks!!
5) who is your hero?
Ooooooooh..... that's a hard one! I'd probably have to say Queen's Freddie Mercury, I mean he was cool, dude & I admire how he forced himself to come into the studio and record their last album despite the fact he was dying from Aids & he was in pain. As the Queen song goes 'only the good die young...'

I loved Downtime. Rob Lawson's such an everyman . So cute you just want to hug the poor bastard.
My hubby and I are going to see Queen this March. I'm excited! And yes, Freddie Mercury is defo a hero.

*nods* Yep, that's the one! ;) I enjoyed it despite what other people may say & I also ♥ the little speech when the 3 of them are sitting between the lift shafts and he talks about him coming to rescue Chrissie and being her knight in shining armour, prince and king - *lifts up his bandaged hand*"well...wounded king." ♥s. :D

Oooh YEY!! They're brilliant; my mum, dad & I seen them in May this year when they came over to Belfast. Guest singer is Paul Rodgers, who is no Freddie Mercury, but still good in his own right. We got to see both him and Roger Taylor afterwards :D :D :D You'll have a great time!
