Hee hee, usually on a Saturday morning at this time I'm still fast asleep but have been up since just before 8am. Spent the night camping with several of the over 18s from church out in the cattle-occupied fields several miles away and am soooo tired it's not funny.

We chose to watch King Arthur as the DVD movie choice or rather whoever brought it decided there & then that that was what we were gonna watch :p. Haven't watched it for ages but I think everyone thought it was generally 'alright' lol - near the beginning there are a few cringey bits of dialogue but whatever....;) Clive & Ioan made up for that, running around with swords and being all manly etc. And at least the fellas had Keira to drool over, though she was practically runnin' round in next to nothing (remember those leather strips?)!! ;) And I so didn't realise that Sean 'Styles' Gilder was there either! o___O Had to compose myself from shouting STYLES!!OMG!! at the screen hee hee!

Trooping across several fields at 12am with a beautiful clear starry sky was something else; glad I changed into my wellies, and at least the cows were well out of sight :) & we had the traditional campfire with marshmallows and erm, chocolate digestive biscuits LMAO.

Don't think I slept at all; the tent I was in was on a slope and typically I got to sleep on the worst of it :p & ended up at the bottom of the tent itself! I stayed there 'cause I knew I'd probably end up there again during the night (knowing the way I sleep - I spread out!) plus it was damn cold! *nods*

Got an early wake up call thanks to a pheasant - sounded somewhere between somebody being strangled & a rooster LOL! But it was damn scary listening to it!

Right, gonna go & get some coffee....can't go back to my proper bed; too wide awake....

Wow, it must have been freezing!!! But it sounds like fun. Or for me, more like a fun memory in the making. Sigh, afraid I'm not much of a camping girl. I like the night part just fine, but I'd rather magically be transported to wake up next morning in my own bed at a late hour and have hot shower and coffee available just a few feet away.

When I visited my friends in Belfast, I went on a hiking outing with their church group! We climbed to the top of the tallest mountain in N.Ireland (in the Mourns?) I can't remember what it was called. And it snowed while we were at the top. It was during Easter break, so about this same time of year. Cold. (There were other gorgeous warm beautiful days, but that wasn't one of them.)

Did you make s'mores with the marshmallows and chocolate digestives? Now that's a very smart idea that I've never thought of. But over here, of course, digestives are a rare exotic treat, too special to "waste" on s'mores. :D

Aye - it was lovely and sunny yesterday up 'til around 7pm or so & boy did it get cold during the early hours of this morning! I think the boys all had their heads buried under the sleeping bags at one point lol!

Oooh and our tallest mountain is Slieve Donard ;) I've went down it on a plastic sheet in the snow years ago!

That must be the mountain then. Does Slieve mean mountain?
