Torchwood Season 1 Finale

wee_mangoI have literally just finished watching this:
O.M.G!!1!SQUEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!1!!1!!!!!!!!!! I think that's my thoughts pretty much summed up LMAO. XD
Some thoughts/fave/memorable moments from Captain Jack Harkness & End Of Days:
- What's Jack's real name then if it ain't Capt Jack Harkness, if he has been using that name all this time?? O.O
- I loved the 1940s theme in CJH. :D
- Jack still drinking his beloved water ♥ then switches to alcohol (for the second time in the series) with Tosh in his office when he leaves the real Cpt Jack Harkness.
- Jack + Tosh sitting at a table and Tosh taking his hand when he tells her how the real Jack will die. ♥
- Ianto!! *squees* And his supposedly dodgy shooting. XD I went O_O when he shot Owen; I didn't hink he'd actually do it & when he did, I thought he'd surely killed him 'cause that didn't look like it hit the shoulder...
- Tosh speaking Japanese (with subtitles of course). :)
- The 2 Jacks' little dance sequence with 'Jack' leaving and then he walks back onto the dancefloor and snogs the real Jack. ♥ ♥ ♥ With the bright light and everything, it reminded me of Bad Wolf when Rose has the flashback of her, Jack & the Doctor being separated in the TARDIS by the transmat with the light there too.
- I really liked the kiss between the 2 Jacks so I thought I'd mention it again. ;)
- Owen: "Don't compare yourself to me. You're just a tea boy."
Ianto: "I'm much more than that. Jack needs me."
Owen: "In your dreams, Ianto. Your sad wet dreams where you're his part-time shag, maybe."
MEOW!!!
- Owen + Jack's argument about loyalty with Jack booting Owen out of Torchwood.
- It wasn't until near the end of CJH that I realised that the creepy old man's name was actually Bilis & not Phylis!! XD ROFLMAO
- Glowy Doctor's hand!!
- The TARDIS returning for Jack who disappears before the rest of the team come back with their coffees.
- Ianto smelling Jack's military coat after he dies & looking like he's about to burst into tears. ♥
- Dead!Jack creeped me out a bit...O_O
- Damn you BBC + RTD for making me cry during End Of Days - the second time in the series, the other episode was Out Of Time.
- Was it just me or did Jack appear a bit gaunt-looking when facing the monster/Satan thing?
- I was hoping that Jack (or else him and Gwen) would stroll into the Hub like nothing had happened to see the how the other 3 would react after thinking him dead, instead of (for example) having Gwen running in shouting "He's alive! He's alive!" or something to that effect. I like the way that was done. :D
- Tosh running over to hug Jack & Ianto hugging his boss and sharing a snog with him. *insert mega squee here* Then Owen reluctantly walks over and Jack puts his hands on his hips like Owen's been a naughty child (let's face it, he was after opening the rift in the first place!) and then just grabbing Owen into a hug with Owen sobbing into Jack's shoulder. ♥ ♥ ♥
- Rhys locked up in a cell in Torchwood - LOL! Nice to see that he was brought back to life.
- Rhys!arse. Again! o__O
- Gwen going seemingly insane after Jack dies by staying with the body for a few days. ♥
- When Jack didn't come back to life right away after getting, sucked, by the monster I seriously started to panic. I thought 'But there's a second series...RIGHT?!? There'd better be!'
- Jack's bitchiness towards Gwen:
1) When he gives Owen a bollocking in front of the others, Gwen says that even Owen has feelings to which Jack quickly replies "Yeah you would know..."
2) After Rhys dies, Gwen hysterically cries that she loved him & Jack makes a comment about how could she have done if she'd spent half her time in Owen's bed - MEOW!!! I think he did have a point though but at the same time think Gwen was right to fly at him with her fists...
Well done BBC, you really have made an effort with the finale despite some earlier episodes being a bit 'meh'. :) Roll on Season 3 of Doctor Who & Season 2 of Torchwood!! :D :D :D

Date: 2007-01-03 03:45 pm (UTC)Is this direct from the episode? Because the wording kind of implies that Owen doesn't know about Jack and Ianto. But when I watched it first time round (I'll be watching it again tonight) I thought he did, and that Owen was getting a dig in about the fact that Ianto and Jack aren't a full-time, proper relationship, rather than it just being Ianto fancying Jack from a distance. Does this make sense? Moving on...
