HP:DH 'review'

- Wow...talk about major bloodbath...

- Snape had a heart after all! OMG! Quite like the little back story between him and Lily Potter though, shows he had feelings and wasn't a cold-hearted so-and-so, that he had to play nasty or his cover would be blown.

- Lily's letter to Sirius that Harry finds in Sirius's old bedroom about him giving Harry a broomstick for his 1st birthday. ♥

- The Potters having a cat lol - 'You know it only rises about two feet off the ground, but he nearly killed the cat and he smashed a horrible vase Petunia sent me for Christmas...' (Lily in her letter to Sirius.)
'They had had a cat...perhaps it had perished, like his parents, at Godric's Hollow...or else fled when there was nobody left to feed it...' (Harry's thoughts after reading that letter.)

- Fred RIP. It was probably inevitable that one of the Weasleys would be killed off. *sobs* However, nice to see that he went out with a smile on his face in true Weasley twin form.

- The Godric's Hollow chapter made me cry.

- I honestly thought it was all over for Hermione when she was being tortured by Bellatrix Lestrange - I was literally on the edge of my seat.

- Ron: (after punching Draco Malfoy) "And that's the second time we've saved your life tonight, you two-faced bastard!"

- After the battle of Hogwarts:
Peeves: "We did it, we bashed them, wee Potter's the One, and Voldy's gone mouldy, so now let's have fun!"
Ron: "Really gives a feeling for the scope and tragedy of the thing doesn't it?"

- Kreacher joining the good side. :D

- Harry addressing Voldemort as Riddle. XD

- "What are you doing with all those books anyway?" Ron asked.
"Just trying to decide which ones to take with us," said Hermione. "When we're looking for the Horcruxes."
"Oh, of course," said Ron, clapping a hand to his forehead. "I forgot we'll be hunting down Voldemort in a mobile library."

- Final battle between Harry & Voldemort = AWESOME. Can't wait to see how they do this for the big screen.

- Percy: "Hello, Minister! Did I mention i'm resigning?"

- Dumbledore's brother hiding in the Hog's Head the whole time.

- Narcissa Malfoy lying to Voldemort about Harry being dead. O.O

- “Seventeen, eh!” said Hagrid as he accepted a bucket-sized glass of wine from Fred. “Six years to the day we met, Harry, d’yeh remember it?”
“Vaguely,” said Harry, grinning up at him. “Didn’t you smash down the front door, give Dudley a pig’s tail, and tell me I was a wizard?”
“I forge’ the details,” Hagrid chortled.

- I'm pissed that Lupin was killed; really thought he'd be 'allowed' to survive since him & Tonks had a wee 'un and because he was the last of the Marauders.

- Same with Tonks. It was all a bit of a shock though to read that they were laid out side by side as though sleeping in the great hall, especially after we knew that Fred died and then BAM. *sniffs*

- The constant repeated usage of "Merlin's Pants!" LMFAO!!

- Poor Dobby! :( Liked what it said on his headstone though: Here lies Dobby, a free elf.

- "NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU BITCH!" Best. line. ever. XD

- Ron & Hermione - aaaaaaaaw. Totally didn't see that coming (yeah I'm like that heh :P) until Hermione plants a big smacker on him, after that, yeah.

- Is it just me or does Bella Lestrange seem to have a bit of a 'thing' for Voldy?

- Snape: (as he is dying, to Harry) "Look...at...me..." ♥

- Neville loping off Nagini's head - go Neville!! *cheers* :D :D :D

- I really liked the epilogue, although most of you didn't seem to...It finalizes the series. And Harry, Ron & Hermione all having kids!

- Scorpious, WTF LMAO. Poor kid!

- Harry's reaction to that Ron/Hermione snog: "Oi! Theres a war going on!"

- Ron thinking that Cinderella is a disease hahah!

- The nice twist of the real Bathilda Bagshot being dead and the pretend one being Voldemort!!

- Voldemort's arrogance killing himself. Hahah, didn't he learn first time round? :P

- Neville becoming a Professor. :D

- Mundungus getting bashed with a pot by Kreacher. XD

- The Prince's Tale, what a great chapter!

- Fred's "moves faster than Severus Snape confronted with shampoo" comment on Potterwatch. *snerk*

- Ron: (on being asked to clean his room by Mrs Weasley) "Why in the name of Merlin's saggy left..."

- "He has, to use the common phrase, done a bunk" - Professor McGonagall about Snape leaving Howarts. LMAO!

- Harry's speech to the 'ghosts' of Lupin, Sirius, James and Lily about how he was sorry that they were all dead, especially Lupin so soon after his little boy was born - that made me cry.



All in all, brilliant book. Will be most definately reading it again! :D

I've never heard the phrase "done a bunk" before, so I was very confused by that. I asked my sis if she'd heard of it and told her the line and she just cracked up laughing saying "Um...no... what IS that?!" Thank you dictionary.com for explaining. :P

I read an interview thingy with JKR yesterday and she flat out said herself that she married a pureblood (Rudolphus) because it was expected of her, but her first and only love was Voldemort (though I doubt he reciprocated because he loved only himself firstly).

To do a 'bunk' is basically to leave without saying so. UK kids use it a lot as a slang term for truancy (eg. bunking off) but in Snape's case he went AWOL hahah. :P

I think the film version of this one won't be out 'til 2010. Bah. But I really can't wait to see Voldy vs Harry in the Great Hall on the big screen given what the OOTP Voldy/Dumbledore duel looked like on screen. O.o

Yeah, poor George! :'( To be honest I'd rather it have been Percy, oh and what happened to Charlie Weasley? He seemes to have just disappeared (or was he at Bill & Fleur's wedding...?) lol. And I can't forgive JKR for killing Remus Lupin; ever since book 6 came out I kept going to myself: 'she'd better not kill Lupin off, she'd better not kill Lupin off...' etc and then after Fred dies it's like 'oh by the way, Lupin AND Tonks snuffed it too!' Personally I think those last 2 were killed off for the sake of being killed off. *pouts*

Yeah! Percy would have been a better choice! He redeems himself and then gets killed. I could have handled that. I maybe even could have handled Arthur, but FRED?! Poor, poor George. :( I figured Lupin would die considering all the rest of the Marauders were being bumped off, but why Tonks, too?! Geez. That's harsh. I don't know if I will be able to make it through the end of this movie. Actually, I know I won't. But, oh well. Those are the best kind of movie, yeah? The ones where you sit and bawl your eyes out but just can't look away.

Hee. Same here, since there was one point during the OOTP movie where I thought I was gonna cry so I think I'll bring tissues with me when I see the last 2 films haha! ;)
