Sorry it's a bit big, or if it isn't, it seems that way now as I'm typing lol. This is Paul and I in the Comic Guru store in Cardiff. Bit of a funny story behind this pic - the 2 pairs of batteries mum & I brought with us decided to die on us as we went to takes photos with our digital camera! I think when using our camera, the batteries have to be exactly perfect, not used even a little bit. After trying both pairs, Paul realised what had happened and leant in beside me (as shown above) and said to the photographer, "Right, get a polaroid" and then, get this, said to me in a low voice "I'll pay for the polaroid"!!!! :D I think I momentarily went into shock LMAO! I thanked him later on - think because of what he said (and did) made me forget to thank him, but I did when I popped up at Forbidden Planet, don't worry! ;)
I think I paid to get a book signed (the money went to Paul's charity) and then another 2 things were signed by Paul for 'free', but I ended up with 4 lol!
And hello, that's me, in costume :D Enjoy the McGann! Oh and forgot to say, it may not look like it, but my right arm is actually somewhere on his back....mmmmmmm *thud*

And your costume looks fabulous! And your pretty curly hair! You make a great 8th doctor, hee!
Thanks m'dear :D It was great fun dressing up and seeing Paul's reaction at the first venue; I don't hink he was expecting anyone to come in costume!! :)

Yeah, he's conspicuously oblivious when it comes to who's paid for what at his signings--he doesn't really seem to give a cat's bass. He's lovely about that. *SIGH*

Thanks! It wasn't really made; they were various items of clothing I had (and found) & they all came together. My coat was actually part of a Halloween costume when I went as Frodo Baggins, and when I saw Doctor Who: the movie for the first time, I thought I had a coat similar to Paul's and sure enough, there it was hanging up in my wardrobe! :D

Date: 2006-01-14 07:25 pm (UTC)I'm amazed there was any money made from the FP signing when the guy at the desk let the five of us have umpteen things signed for a fiver. I think Paul signed two photos, two dvd inserts, Sair's book (for the second time that day!) and three prints of my Ascension cartoon! :D
