wee_mangoOff to see the second Pirates movie (insert massive squeeage here) in about 10 minutes. Will put down ramblings later in this same entry. *doesn't like wasting space ;) :P*
*bounces off humming the 'He's A Pirate' tune from the end of the first Pirates movie* :D
ETA:
I personally thought this one was alright. There was something missing that was there in the original but I can't place it. Really I don't know what possessed them to make a sequel but hey....I did laugh throughout though so that's gotta count for something! ;) Some memorable moments then:
- James Norrington, scruffy = ♥ + me foaming at the mouth on occasion heh heh *ahem* But he looked lovely ;)
- The 3-way sword fight was hilarious and the whole wheelie thing as well with poor Jack chasing after it and getting caught up in it hee hee! ♥
- "Bugger..." XD :P
- I liked the fact that they used pretty much all of movie 1's soundtrack to get back into the mood of things. After all, it's been 3 years since the original and I love the piratey feel to the music so yeah.
- Liked the special effects & loved Davy Jones & his crew, plus the giant tenticles. I really liked how we first see the tentacles taking out the ship that picked Will up when he escaped off Jones' ship; mainly the camera angles shot facing up so you really felt that you were looking up at those giant suckers :)
- Davy Jones himself - what a cool villain, being some sort of weird sea creature with an octopusy type thing for a face. Was it just me or did anyone else see Bill Nighy from time to time in those eyes (yes I know it was him but like really see traits of him there, like seeing Andy Serkis in Gollum)? o.O
- Nice to see Pintel & Ragetti back again, and behaving themselves (i.e. working with/alongside Jack + co.)!!
- Tia was awesome :D
- Will getting bitch-slapped hahahah!!
- Jack: "Elizabeth! These clothes do not flatter you at all! It shall be a dress or nothing, and I happen to have no dress in my cabin..." *snerk*
- The Jack/Elizabeth kiss O.O J/E = OTP anyone?
- Jack talking to the natives about Will: "Eunchy snippy snippy" (and doing the 'snip' motion with his fingers XD).
- Jack: *singing in the nah nah nah-nah nah tone* "I got a jar of diiiirt, I got a jar of diiiirt, and guess what's in it!" ROFL.
- Bill Turner/Bootstrap :) I really hope that Will is able to save him in the 3rd installment.
- Jack running & screaming like a girl whilst being chased by the cannibals - HEE!! ♥
- Jack shooting the crow on 'his' coffin & apologising to its dead inhabitant for using its skeletal foot as an oar.
- The Black Pearl's crew doing an OMGWTF?!!! look on learning that their rum will be used as explosives, ROFLMAO!!
- Will: (talking about getting Jack's compass)"...then I'll return here to marry you."
Elizabeth: "Properly."
Will: "Eagerly, if you'll still have me."
Elizabeth: "If it weren't for these bars, I'd have you already."
(Governor Swan breaks a candle off the wall in shock) XD
- Jack decapitating the hermit crab-like crew member of Davy Jones with a coconut & the head attempting to get into contact with the body again whilst it walks straight into a palm tree. *sniggers*
- Jack: "How did you get here?"
Will: "I strapped two sea turtles to my feet." (Nice little nod to film 1)
- Jack Sparrow:(to Will) "Mind the boat."
Will Turner: [to Gibbs] "Mind the boat."
Gibbs: [to Ragetti] "Mind the boat."
Ragetti: [to Pintel] "Mind the boat."
Pintel: [to an anonymous sailor] "Mind the boat."
Sunburned Sailor: [to Marty] "Mind the boat."
Marty: [to Cotton's parrot] "Mind the boat."
Cotton's Parrot: [to Cotton] "Mind the boat."
- Jack: "Guard the boat, mind the tide...don't touch my dirt."
- Barbossa appearing at the end; I was not expecting that at all!! I was expecting it to be Jack (who else, but then didn't everyone?) somehow and another 1/2hr or so of the film left! Loved the line (something like) "So tell me: what's become of my ship?" & then takes a bite of a green apple with the juice trickling down his chin and then the credits start rolling - sheer genius!!

First time I saw the movie, sure I went in for Will, but I came out thinking about Norrington and looking most forward to seeing him again.
Second time I went to see it - same thing!
Tomorrow's going to be my third time and he is, once again, what I am looking forward to most.
Oh how I wish he could be just a little bit less ice cream cone and a little more sexy scruffy pirate in the next one...

Hee hee! I can think of a few things I wanna do to him! ;) *steals yummy piratey!Norrington* :p Hee, he's a right wee bit different though from the first movie. I think he was maybe a little bit too pompous for my liking but after seeing DMC I was like "Helloooo handsome!" He's definately one to watch out for! :D

It wasn't until the end of the movie that I connected the two things together. I wondered if Jeffrey Rush credit in the second movie was a mistake when I first checked it out on imdb. LOL!!

I SO thought it was Jack coming down the steps somehow & that there was like, another half an hour to go but Barbossa just appearing like that made my jaw hit the floor, but I liked that, that I totally didn't see that coming at all! And yeah I also noticed a pair of boot-clad feet in Tia's earlier but assumed it was a customer! LOL!
